Privacy Policy

What information CoinSail may collect when you visit the site, how it is used, and the choices available to visitors.

CoinSail is a media and content website. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you visit CoinSail, how that information is used, the choices available to visitors, and the third-party services involved. CoinSail keeps data collection limited to what is needed to operate the site and reply to enquiries.

Information we collect

CoinSail only receives information that you provide directly or that is generated automatically as part of normal web browsing.

  • Information you send to CoinSail by email or through the contact form, such as your name, email address, and the message you write.
  • Standard technical information generated by your browser and hosting provider, such as a truncated IP address, approximate region, device type, browser, the page you visited, and the referring URL.
  • Analytics information, only if you accept analytics through the consent popup, as explained in “Cookies and analytics” below.

How we use information

CoinSail uses the information it receives to:

  • Reply to your email or contact-form enquiry.
  • Understand which articles are read and which pages are useful, so that the CoinSail editorial can be improved.
  • Operate the website safely, including basic protection against abuse, spam, and disruption.
  • Maintain reasonable business records, such as a copy of an email thread for as long as it is useful to refer to.

Contact forms and email

You can reach CoinSail by email at contact@coinsail.com for general enquiries, and at partnerships@coinsail.com for partnership enquiries. The contact page also offers a short form to help you draft a message.

The contact-page form is a mailto form: when you submit it, the form opens an email in your own email client with the subject and message pre-filled. Nothing is sent through the CoinSail website itself, and no database receives the message. You decide whether to send the email from your own mail program.

CoinSail only receives the information you choose to include in the email you send.

Cookies and analytics

CoinSail uses Google Analytics to understand which articles are read, which pages are useful, and how visitors move through the site. This helps CoinSail improve the site without relying only on guesswork.

When you first visit CoinSail, the consent popup asks whether to allow analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics may use analytics cookies or similar browser storage to measure site usage.

If you decline, CoinSail does not allow Google Analytics to store analytics cookies or analytics storage on your browser. Because CoinSail uses Google's Advanced Consent Mode, Google's consent-aware tag may still send limited cookie-free measurement signals for aggregate reporting. These signals are not used by CoinSail to build a personal profile of you.

CoinSail does not currently use any of the following:

  • Google Tag Manager
  • Advertising tracking
  • Remarketing
  • Personalised advertising
  • Google Ads conversion tracking

You can change your analytics choice at any time using the Privacy settings link in the footer. You can also use your browser settings or privacy tools to block cookies, scripts, or tracking technologies independently of CoinSail.

Third-party links and services

CoinSail links to and embeds material from third-party platforms, including video players such as YouTube, social platforms, and reference links inside articles. When you follow one of those links or interact with embedded content, that platform's own privacy policy applies.

CoinSail does not control how third-party platforms handle your information once you leave the site or load their content.

Payments and support links

CoinSail does not process card or payment information directly on the website. There is no embedded checkout, no stored card details, and no payment form hosted on CoinSail itself.

The footer includes optional support links to external platforms:

  • PayPal, used only as a hosted payment page link, not as an embedded payment form.
  • Patreon
  • Ko-fi
  • Buy Me a Coffee
  • YouTube Membership

If you choose to support CoinSail through one of those platforms, the transaction takes place on the platform's own systems and is governed by their privacy policy and terms.

Newsletter and accounts

CoinSail does not currently operate user accounts and does not currently run a newsletter signup form. There is no login system, no member area, no password storage, and no mailing-list subscription form on the site today.

If CoinSail introduces accounts or a newsletter in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that feature goes live.

Data sharing

CoinSail does not sell visitor personal information. CoinSail only shares information where it is needed to:

  • Operate the website, for example hosting and analytics.
  • Respond to your enquiry.
  • Comply with applicable law, valid legal processes, or legitimate requests from public authorities.
  • Use the third-party services described above, such as Google Analytics with your consent, embedded video players, or the support platforms linked from the footer.

Data retention

CoinSail keeps personal information only for as long as there is a clear reason to keep it: to reply to your message, to maintain a reasonable business record of a conversation, or to meet a legal or accounting obligation. Email enquiries may be retained as long as needed to respond and to keep legitimate business communications on file.

You can ask CoinSail to delete an email thread or related information earlier by writing to contact@coinsail.com. CoinSail will do so where reasonably possible.

Your choices

Visitors have practical control over what CoinSailreceives and how analytics behave:

  • You can choose what information to include in any email or contact-form message you send to CoinSail.
  • You can accept or decline analytics through the consent popup, and change that choice later using the Privacy settings link in the footer.
  • You can use your browser's privacy controls, a privacy extension, or your operating system's tracking protections to block cookies, scripts, or tracking independently of CoinSail.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, for example to access, correct, or delete information CoinSail holds about you. Email contact@coinsail.com to exercise those rights.

Contact

Privacy questions can be sent to contact@coinsail.com. Partnership enquiries can be sent to partnerships@coinsail.com. CoinSail is published as part of Salixo Media Group.

Updates to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time as the website, the third-party services it uses, or applicable law change. The current version is always available on this page. Material changes, such as the introduction of user accounts, a newsletter, or a new third-party data processor, will be reflected here before the related feature goes live.

This Privacy Policy is published for general information only and is not legal advice.
